I hold a Doctorate in Education from the University of Waikato. In my thesis I researched the underpinnings of programme design practice in a polytechnic in Aotearoa/New Zealand. This inquiry has given me a deep understanding of curriculum development and other educational matters as they relate to tertiary education, as well as the ability to work and think within qualitative research and evaluation frameworks.
I also hold a PhD in Physics from the Catholic University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Studying physics to this level has allowed me to develop a high level of analytical and structural thinking ability, as well as strong skills in working with quantitative data.
Further qualifications include a National Certificate in Adult Literacy Education (Vocational/Workplace) (Aotearoa/New Zealand), a secondary school teaching qualification (Hogeschool Katholieke Leergangen, Tilburg, the Netherlands), and an MSc in Theoretical Physics (Catholic University of Nijmegen).
